Blue sheet

Blue sheet or shiny blue sheet is a cold-rolled thin sheet with a firmly adhering iron oxide layer . With regard to the shape, panels or rolls are possible. The layer is formed by annealing at 800 to 900 ° C in an oxygen atmosphere. The oxide layer has a special optical effect due to its dark blue appearance, provides protection against corrosion and also serves as a substrate for paintwork .

The areas of application include the lining of heating units, machine cladding, stove pipes and oven linings, baking tins and trays, but also entire building cladding.
