Sheet metal shears

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A sheet metal shear is a machine that cuts a sheet in two by pressing a hydraulic knife . The sheet is placed on the shelf of the sheet metal shears. Behind the sheet metal shears, where the divided piece of sheet metal falls down into the collecting container, the desired size of the sheet metal required is set manually on a rotary wheel. The pressure of the hydraulic knife on the sheet cuts it. The permitted sheet thickness may vary depending on the construction and model of the sheet metal shears. There are machines that can cut sheet steel up to 16 mm.
