Boû Gâdoûm or Bougadoum , Arabic بوكادوم, is a city of the administrative unit Hodh Ech Chargui in the southeast of the West African state of Mauritania . The city is located near the border with the neighboring state of Mali and can be reached on a cul-de-sac from Néma to the south.
No information is available for the population of the city prior to 2000, but it has increased continuously. In 2000 it reached 29,045, in 2005 the city's population was estimated at 32,749. This made it 9th on the list of the largest cities in Mauritania in 2005 and the second largest city in Hodh Ech Chargui after Adel Bagrou and ahead of the capital Néma.
