Bo Doerek
Bo Doerek was a German cabaret, cabaret and music duo consisting of Hubertus Borck and Alexandra Doerk . The group name was derived from the surnames of the two artists (Borck / Doerk).
history
The duo have been on stage together since spring 1995. It entertained its audience with a mix of music and snappy lyrics, with the singing always in the foreground. Borck and Doerk were accompanied by various musicians. Until the formation of the formation in 2007, Bo Doerek were an integral part of the German comedy scene and were seen as a cultural export from Hamburg's Reeperbahn .
In the Bo Doerek productions, Hubertus Borck usually took on the role of the promiscuous gay single who made fun of the bourgeois everyday views of his stage partner, who also lived alone, who was always waiting for Mr. Right. Alexandra Doerk, in turn, used the sexual preference of her stage partner to break a lance for marriage and family. Bo Doerek dissected human weaknesses and did not stop at himself. Bo Doerek developed eight evening-filling programs, with which they went on extensive tours. After a last touring tour in 2007, the duo officially separated and said goodbye to their audience in a gala on May 21, 2007 in Schmidts-Tivoli.
In October 2017, to mark the tenth anniversary of their separation, they performed Hallo Again - Or what else we had to say in the sold out Schmidt Theater in Hamburg .
