Omer Vander Ghinste
Omer Vander Ghinste (until January 2014: Bockor ) is a Belgian brewery in Bellegem, a sub-municipality of the West Flanders town of Kortrijk . As a private brewery, the brewery is a member of the Belgian Family Brewers .
history
The brewery was founded in 1892 by Remi Vander Ghinste. In 1938 Ghinste Pils was renamed Bockor. In 1970 the Lambic beers Gueuze Jacobins and 1983 the Kriek Jacobins were launched. The Jacobins Framboise followed in 1986 and the Kriek Max in 2002. OMER has been brewed since 2009; in the same year, Omer Vander Ghinste also launched Rosé Max .
Since 2007, Brouwerij Omer Vander Ghinste has been in the fifth generation of the family under the management of Omer-Jean Vander Ghinste, after whom the OMER was named. The name OMER ties in with the more than 120-year-old family tradition of the brewery, according to which the eldest son of each generation - called OMER - was and is the boss of the brewery.
The annual production of Omer Vander Ghinste in 2014 was 85,000 hectoliters of beer.

Today Omer Vander Ghinste produces the following top and bottom fermented and spontaneous fermentation (lambic) beers; With the VanderGhinste Oud Bruin , the brewery is also selling a beer that is made from a mixture of top-fermented and spontaneous fermentation beer.

OMER and VanderGhinste Oud Bruin from the Bockor Brewery have repeatedly won gold and silver medals at the internationally renowned World Beer Cup and European Beer Star beer championships.
