Lebusa post mill

The Lebusa post mill technical monument is located in the Brandenburg municipality of Lebusa in the Elbe-Elster district .

The mill, which was built in 1686, is one of the oldest functioning post mills in the new federal states . In 1753 it appears in a map by the map publisher Peter Schenk . The windmill Johann Friedrich Peisker acquired the mill in 1827 from his father, who had taken it over in 1788 as an inheritance. Later owners of the mill included Gottlieb Röhsgen (1844) and Oskar Stock (1925). After the mill was only crushed from 1955, it was finally shut down in 1969. In 1976, the building became the legal entity of the Lebusa municipality, which makes it accessible to the public as a show object in the presence of the public.
