The ground monument of the Rosenthaler Weg quarry extends across from the Herrenstrunden cemetery in Bergisch Gladbach . The area is fenced and now serves as a sheep pasture.

The walls of the quarry are important for research and teaching. So far the following fossils have been identified:
- Snails (e.g. Loxonema Murchisonis, Buchelia, Bellerophon ),
- Brachiopods and
- Goniatites .
