Bottom seal

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Static and automatic seals are referred to as floor seals in the application area of doors and gates . Static seals are molded seals that may also run around the door. In the case of external doors, these seals are usually located in a stop (a level jump of a few centimeters). Automatic seals are seals that are triggered by means of a trigger on the hinge and / or lock side. These seals mostly meet increased requirements, such as sound insulation according to EN ISO 717-1. These seals increase the sound insulation in construction and can achieve sound insulation values of over 52 dB .

Further requirements are fire and smoke protection for doors in accordance with DIN EN 16034, in order to guarantee the function of fire protection barriers .
