Pro Liberis Silesiae is an association of the German minority in Poland that operates bilingual educational institutions with German and Polish classes in Upper Silesia. The association relies on Maria Montessori's educational concept . The sponsoring association is based in Raschau in the municipality of Tarnau.

activities

The association currently runs three kindergartens and three schools in Raschau , Goslawitz and Oppeln-Malino ( Malina ).

The projects of the educational institutions include the regular German-language theater encounters at which school theater groups perform.

history

The Pro Liberis Silesiae association was founded in 2008 and registered on November 26, 2008. First he started his activity with a kindergarten in Raschau. In 2014 he took over a school in Malino.

In 2017, the Pro Liberis Silesiae association received the special prize of the Silesian Culture Prize of Lower Saxony . Barbara Loch and Dr. Margarete Wysdak from the association accepted the award in Osnabrück.

In addition to this association, there is another association in the Opole Voivodeship, the Education Society Cosel-Rogau ( Stowarzyszenie Oświatowe Koźle-Rogi ) with the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe School.
