The sheet feeder is an assembly of a sheet printing press , the paper sheet forward ( front guides ) and to the side ( side guides aligns) by the sheet edge is moved against stops (brands) / pushed. The sheet edges to be aligned are limited at the top by the cover marks .

Within a sheet printing machine, the sheet is the sheet feeder coming into the sheet feeder (Anlegwerk, conditioning plant) transported and from there into the machine to the printing units ( printing units ).

Devices for thickness measurement are also built into this assembly .

If the sheet feeder forms a flat surface, not curved (in the direction of sheet travel), then one speaks of a feed table or feed table.
