Bogusław Kaczyński (born May 2, 1942 in Biała Podlaska , † January 21, 2016 in Warsaw ) was a Polish journalist, music critic and theorist , television presenter and promoter of classical music.

Kaczyński studied music theory and piano at the Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw (now the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music ). He was the initiator and presenter of several radio and television programs, including Operowe qui pro quo (1974–1978), Zaczarowany świat operetki (1979–1981) and Rewelacja miesiąca (from 1979), and published columns and reviews in many magazines, including Teatr , Ruch Muzyczny and Kultura . He has also written several books on classical music and has worked on film and theater productions on the subject.

In 1980 he founded the Łańcut Music Festival, which he directed for ten years. From 1982 to 2011 he was director of the European Jan Kiepura Festival in Krynica, from 1993 to 1996 Vice-Rector of the Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy.
