Boios
Boios was a 3rd century BC Greek author. BC, who is only known as the author of a work on the transformation of mythical figures into birds , the poem Ornithogonia ( Greek Ὀρνιθογονία "The Origin of Birds") written in hexameters .
Ovid used his work, Aemilius Macer translated it into Latin. A collection of metamorphosis myths from the second century by Antoninus Liberalis gives very brief summaries of the content of some of these myths collected in the work Ornithogonia .
