Bolaji Badejo

Bolaji Badejo (born August 23, 1953 in Lagos , Nigeria , † December 22, 1992 ibid) was a Nigerian former art student and actor who was best known for his role in the film Alien by director Ridley Scott .

As a design student, because of his unusual stature - he was 2.08 meters tall - he was approached by members of the production team around director Ridley Scott in a bar and for the film Alien - The uncanny creature from a strange world as the eponymous actor Obliged to aliens.

In addition to the stuntman Eddy Powell, the tall Badejo was the actual "actor" who was wearing the costume of the alien monster for the filming and for whom all latex casts were made in the London Shepperton Studios based on the designs of the Swiss artist HR Giger for Alien .

Badejo died of sickle cell anemia in 1992 .
