Boland is a South African cricket team based in Paarl that took part in professional national competitions until October 2004. From then on they merged with Western Province and became part of the Cape Cobras , and continued to play under the name Boland in the second-rate South African competitions.
history
Boland was only admitted to the highest cricket level in South Africa in 1980 and played there mostly in the lower division. The only success came in the 1999/2000 season in the One-Day Cup . In the 2003/04 season, the provincial teams were merged and Boland formed the Cape Cobras together with Western Province. In the following years, the team managed to win the List A competition of the now semi-professional provincial teams.
