Bolero flamenco

Bolero Flamenco is a dance theater run by the Ballet Teatro Español ensemble from Spain .

For Bolero Flamenco, Rafael Aguilar, who died in 1995, combined the original forms of flamenco with elements of ballet and modern dance. Bolero Flamenco is a series of different choreographies staged as a homage to Maurice Ravel .

The program consists of three parts. The opening is the “El Rango” designed together with Antonio Gades based on García Lorca's Bernarda Alba's house . It is followed by the flamenco choreography to the music of Maurice Ravel's Boléro . The "Suite Flamenca", an anthology of different flamenco styles, concludes.

The most prominent dancers on the 2007 tour were Rosa Jiménez, Francisco Guerrero and Juan Carlos Calleja.
