Bolivia is one of ten Municipios in the Ciego de Ávila Province in Cuba .

The coastal region of the Bahía de Perros and the Bahía de Jigüe north of the city of Bolivia are covered with inaccessible mangrove swamps . The only access to the sea is Playa Cunagua , located about eleven kilometers north of Bolivia . The region is almost completely flat, with the exception of the Loma de Cunagua, which can be seen from afar .

Before the administrative reform in 1976, the entire municipality was called Cunagua . On older maps from around 1929 the region is also called Judas . The Cayo Judas and the coastal section Pasa de Judas still point to this name today .

There are viewpoints, eco-tourism facilities and hiking trails of varying difficulty, for example 'Sendero Los Tocororos'. The area can be easily reached via Moron. The checkpoint is on the southern edge of the nature reserve in the immediate vicinity of the Moron-Bolivia road. Access is restricted for private vehicles, but access is possible without any problems on foot or as part of guided tours (also by vehicle).
