Bombono DVD is free software for authoring video DVDs on GNU / Linux operating systems. It is written in the programming language C ++ and has a graphical user interface based on GTK + . With the integration of FFmpeg , it can import practically all common video formats. The design of the video DVD structure is clicked together with the help of WYSIWYG preview with drag-and-drop support. Development began in 2007. On July 28, 2009 the first version was published. Version 1.0 was released on December 30, 2010. The name means "bonbon" in the artificial language Esperanto . It is distributed as free software also in source code under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL). Pre-compiled installation packages are available for both Debian and RPM- based systems. In the popular Ubuntu distribution , it can be installed directly from the standard package sources.
