Bonifatiuskerk (Ter Idzard)
The Bonifatiuskerk is a church building in Ter Idzard in the Dutch province of Friesland .
history
The late Gothic church was built at the beginning of the 16th century and consecrated to St. Boniface . According to plans by WA Scheenstra and H. Edinga, the church got a tower and a new west gable. A spire was added to the tower in 1926.
The furnishings include three epitaphs from the Van Idzarda family and a cabinet organ from the second half of the 19th century, which was installed by Bakker & Timmenga in 1937 .
The church was profaned in 1978 and is currently owned by the Stichting Alde Fryske Tsjerken . It was restored in 2009/2010 and is listed as a Rijksmonument .
