Booker (Wrestling)
In wrestling, a booker is a person who writes storylines . A booker sets up feuds , matches, promos and interviews. The degree of booking is variable in matches ; The booker often specifies the length of the fight, some of the combat actions used and the winner, while the wrestlers can otherwise design the match relatively freely. Experienced wrestlers in particular are often given a lot of freedom for improvisation.
Bookers often appear in front of the camera, for example bookers Jim Cornette and Paul Heyman worked as managers in the WWE ; Howard Finkel as ring announcer. Even experienced wrestlers themselves occasionally work behind the scenes as bookers. In later WCW times, the booking was almost completely taken over by Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash .
