On-board power supply control unit

The on- board power supply control unit or BSG for short , in English Body Control Module (BCM), refers to one or more control units in motor vehicles that directly control electrical consumers or participants in the on-board power supply (such as lighting or windscreen washer systems ), data from the vehicle bus systems ( LIN , CAN , Flexray ) and also act as a gateway for diagnostic services. Comfort functions such as seat heating or ambient lighting are also operated by the BSG.
