Borgers is a North Rhine-Westphalian automotive supplier. The company produces insulation, damping and decorative panels for vehicle interiors as well as sound-absorbing filler materials for the white industry . Since the company was founded by Johann Borgers in 1866, the company has been supplying vehicle manufacturing and equipping carriages with upholstery wadding and upholstery material made from waste materials from textile production. Today, insulation materials for automobiles and large electrical appliances are manufactured in 26 plants. The mechanical engineering and toolmaking division, which, however, only makes a small contribution to total sales, comprises two plant and toolmaking subsidiaries, which in turn include the automotive supplier industry among their customers. Werner Borgers is now the 5th generation to run the family business.
