description

The two-storey residential building, located about 200 m east of Borgue, dates from 1680. Although it is in ruins, the outer walls have largely been preserved. Borgue Old House originally had an L-shaped floor plan with leg lengths of 14.6 and 9.2 m. An extension was added later, creating a U-shaped floor plan. Another wing, probably also of a later date and used as a stair tower, extends from the north side. The masonry is made of quarry stone. Only on the edges of the building and the borders was roughly cut stone used.

The main entrance is in the middle on the south side. Relatively large windows with profiled borders flank the portal. A fireplace with an ornamented lintel has been preserved inside. There is a one-story extension on the southeast side. It contains fragments of an open fireplace with a round arch , which was probably converted into a stove in the 19th century. The building ended with gable roofs , which, however, have collapsed in the meantime.
