Boris Popovič (born September 5, 1962 in Koper , Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian politician and businessman.

Popovič graduated from high school in Koper and then enrolled at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana. He did not graduate, but took over the management of the family business. He played football for FC Koper and won titles in motorsport.

In the local elections in 2002 he was elected mayor of the city of Koper.

Popovič took office on December 19, 2002. In 2006 and 2011 he was confirmed in office.
