The World Heritage Site Bortom Åa (German: Beyond Åa), also Old Farm of Fågelsjö , Swedish: Fågelsjö Gammelgård , is located in Fågelsjö ( Hälsingland , Sweden ), one of the oldest villages in an area that was colonized by the Finns in the 17th century . Since 2012 it has been one of the seven world heritage sites of the Hälsingehöfe .

Jonas Olsson also lived in the wooden farmhouse, whose good documentation makes the history of the farm understandable. When the last private owner, Kristina Jonsdotter, moved from the old mansion to a new villa in 1910, it was left unused. After her death in 1943 , she transferred the property to the community in her will.

Like the other Hälsinghöfe, Bortom Åa represents a high point in the regional timber construction tradition in Hälsingland , which dates back to the Middle Ages, created by independent farmers .
