Masonry (irregular layered masonry) with boss stones

As Boss stones bricks are with break-rough surfaces of natural stone and artificial stone referred to, which are manufactured by hand. This is an activity of stonemasons , who use the tools of hammers and explosives . Boss stones are also produced, which are pressed into molds from mineral mixtures.

In the production of boss stones from natural stone and artificial stone, explosive irons are placed on the edge of the stone and the hammer is struck on the explosive iron. The resulting wedge effect knocks off pieces of stone that take on the shape of a shell. This activity is called bossing, blasting or bouncing by stonemasons. In this process, a rough stone surface is created that shows no tool marks. This hand-made stone surface is used as a visible surface.
