The blasting iron , also Sprenger , Pitscher , coasters or hand translator , is a tool (iron) from tool steel , that the Steinmetz for the targeted production of edges used and corners on the workpiece. This means that excess material ( bosses ) is only worked off (blown away) in the edge area.
