The Boston Children's Hospital is a children's hospital in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area (LMA) in Boston and teaching hospital based in the LMA Harvard Medical School . It is located at 300 Longwood Avenue.

history

The hospital was founded in 1869. Among others, the surgeons William E. Ladd , Joseph Murray and Robert Edward Gross and the scientists John Franklin Enders , Sidney Farber , Samuel L. Katz and Judah Folkman worked there . The Center for Pediatric Sleep Disorders , established in the late 1970s, is headed by Richard Ferber .

Medical offer

The house had 395 beds in 2011. At that time, around 2,000 doctors, 380 researchers, 1,600 full-time nurses and 9,000 other employees were employed.
