Botanic Gardens Conservation International

Botanic Gardens Conservation International is an organization with over 700 botanical gardens from over 118 countries as members. The aim is to preserve the diversity of plants. The seat is in Richmond near Kew Gardens .

The subject areas include:

  • the protection of plant species that are threatened with extinction
  • the use of plants as vital resources for humanity (food, medicine, clothing and raw materials)
