Hamborn Botanical Garden

The Hamborn Botanical Garden is located in the city of Duisburg in the Hamborn district in the immediate vicinity of the Hamborn city ​​forest. The botanical garden was established in 1906 and is 3.14 hectares in size. After two years of renovation, the facility has been freely accessible to visitors again since the beginning of 2014. A new entrance was set up on Beecker Straße, which opens the garden to the Hamborn district and the Duisburg-Nord landscape park .

In the garden there is an annual fuchsia exhibition, a cottage garden and aquariums. There are around 2500 tropical and subtropical plant species in greenhouses; 1000 plant species from different climatic zones, for example from Germany, Japan and China, are planted in open-air systems.
