Bow River Diamond Mine

The Bow River Diamond Mine was located at the southern end of Lake Argyle in the Kimberley in Western Australia , Australia . It was the only diamond mine in Australia in which diamonds were mined in an alluvial land. There are only two other diamond mines in Australia, the Argyle diamond mine with the largest diamond yield in the world and the Ellendale diamond mine .

A total of 7 million carats of diamonds were mined from 1988 to 1995 in an alluvial area of ​​the Bow River of 500 hectares. The nearby Argyle diamond mine is about 20 kilometers away.
