The Bozok Üniversitesi was on 1 March 2006 with three faculties, a school and two vocational schools in Yozgat in central Turkey was founded. By 2013 the university had expanded the offer to a total of eight faculties, three institutes, six vocational schools, five schools, a research and application hospital and seven research centers.
The university is a member of the network of Balkan universities (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro).
