Brückengasse 12 (Limburg an der Lahn)
The house at Brückengasse 12 ( at the round corner ) in the central Hessian town of Limburg an der Lahn is a listed plastered building on the corner of Brückengasse and Fahrgasse .
A building with a rectangular floor plan had been on the property since around 1470 and was owned by Jörg Laux in 1684 . This was acquired by the Hofrentkammer in 1788 and laid down to make room for an extension of the street. The master bricklayer Burkart Reiß bought the rest of the space and the material received and built today's two-story building in a semicircular shape. He also connected the building to the neighboring house at Fahrgasse 1 , which is now also a listed building , but was dismantled in 1825. In 1885 an inn was set up in the house, which since 1900 has been called " To the round corner ".
For historical and urban planning reasons, the building at Brückengasse 12 is a listed building and, like the surrounding buildings, is part of the overall complex of the old town and the Frankfurt suburb .
