The British Journal of Pharmacology , abbreviated Br. J. Pharmacol. , is a scientific journal published by the British Pharmacological Society . The first issue appeared in March 1946. At that time the journal was still published quarterly and was called the British Journal of Pharmacology and Chemotherapy . The current name has been used since September 1968, and the magazine now appears with 24 issues a year. The magazine has been published online since 2013 . Studies from all areas of pharmacology are published. In addition to original articles, reviews, comments and correspondence are also published.
