Brahms Complete Edition

The Brahms Complete Edition ( Johannes Brahms Complete Edition , abbreviation: JBG ) is a historical-critical new edition of the complete compositional works of Johannes Brahms , which is intended to serve both science and musical practice. The edition is published by the Brahms Research Center at Kiel University and is published by G. Henle Verlag in Munich . The first volume appeared in print in 1996.

On December 1, 2011, an additional office in Vienna was set up.

The JBG is to replace the old complete edition, which was published in 1926-27 under the title Johannes Brahms: Complete Works in 26 Volumes by the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna and published by Breitkopf & Härtel .
