The Brahms Ice Shelf is an Antarctic ice shelf in Brahms Inlet on the southwestern coast of Alexander I Island . Its edge at Wilkins Sound is known as the Brahms Ice Front .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the ice shelf on December 8, 1977 after the German composer Johannes Brahms (1833-1897).
