Brewery Gasthof Eck

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Gasthof Eck brewery is a beer brewery in Böbrach, Bavaria .

history

The place name "Eck" can be explained from its geographical location and means mountain protrusion. The court estate there is likely to owe its origin to the clearing activities of the Counts zu Bogen and their ministerials in the 11th to 13th centuries, when several settlements were founded in this area and the place name was combined with purely geographical names.

The Hof zu Eck was first mentioned in a document around 1300. He belonged to the Böbrach Schergenamt, Hof und Mühle, the Schergen von Böbrach, and was bestowed on the chaplain Ruger von Arnbruck. Heinrich Horenberger was mentioned in 1326 as the successor in possession or use of the yard and the mill at Eck.

One of the next owners of the Hof zu Eck from the second half of the 15th century, who could still be identified, was Georg Marchel with his wife. He is mentioned in the description of the Hof zu Eck in the hall book of the caste office Viechtach created in 1577. There it is said that the dukes Johann and Sigmund of Bavaria issued him a letter of inheritance to the Hof zu Eck on the Monday after Michaelmas 1462 (that is October 4, 1462), including the gift and brewing rights. The owner of the farm and the brewery was Leonhard Vogel in 1577. He is said to have the aforementioned letter of inheritance law of October 4, 1462.

Beers and Inn

Today the brewery produces approx. 1000 hl dark beer (Wilderer Dunkel), which comes naturally cloudy in the inn and is sold by the Falter Regen brewery . The inn has 20 guest rooms, conference rooms and around 600 seats.
