Brown mountain sheep
The brown mountain sheep is a livestock breed that descends from the stone sheep that used to live in Tyrol and Bavaria. Traditions from shepherds and shepherds show that the proportion of colored stone sheep was far greater than the white one. For a long time, the keeping of the brown mountain sheep breed, which occurs mainly in mountainous areas, was limited to the Alpine regions of Austria, Upper Bavaria, South Tyrol and the Swiss Engadine with its side valleys.
Bucks can weigh up to 120 kilograms, ewes between 60 and 85 kilograms.
