Brazilian butt lift

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Brazilian Butt Lift is an operative method to enlarge the buttocks . The buttocks can gradually lose shape due to natural aging of the skin as well as a large weight loss or external factors. The volume can be built up by inserting special implants or by using autologous fat .

Implants

In the case of an enlargement using implants, the surgeon makes incisions in the lower fold of the buttocks and can thus place the implants in the gluteal muscle. There he had prepared a kind of pocket beforehand so that the implants would not slip later. The overlying muscle layer prevents the silicone cushions from being visible after the operation. The seam should later lie in such a way that it is not visible.

Possible unpleasant side effects can include persistent pain, which occurs mainly when the patient is sitting.

Autologous fat

In order for it to be possible to enlarge the buttocks with the help of autologous fat, the patient must have enough deposits from which the surgeon can first suction off the required fat. This is then cleaned and processed in a complex process. The surgeon then injects autologous fat into the buttocks, gradually giving them a more voluminous and rounded shape. With this method, the fat deposits are redistributed. For example, it is possible to slim down the thighs with liposuction and at the same time enlarge the bottom.

Not all of the injected fat grows in completely, usually around 60 to 80%. The rest is broken down by the organism.

After the operation

After the operation, special underwear must be worn for several weeks so that everything can heal well. In the case of slight tightening, the patient can then leave the clinic and go home; in the case of larger interventions, he usually has to stay a few days for observation.
