The Brederbach is a 2.7 km long, right-hand tributary of the Ruhr (GKZ 276 9792). It runs through Kettwig , Essen . Its source is located on the street An der Pierburg in the district of Umstand . It flows off to the south. The Kettwig swimming center and an allotment garden are located at the Bachtal. It flows into the Ruhr just below the weir of the Kettwiger See .
