Bregje Hofstede

Bregje Hofstede (* 1988 ) is a Dutch journalist , columnist and writer .

Career

Hofstede studied art history and French in Utrecht, Paris and Berlin. She writes for various newspapers and literary magazines, a. a. a column on “New Feminism” at De Correspondent . Bregje Hofstede is co-founder of the feminist action group De Bovengrondse (German: "The Above Grounds ").

Her debut novel De hemel boven Parijs (German: “The sky over Paris”), published in 2014, was nominated for several literary prizes (including Libris Literatuur Prijs , Anton Wachterprijs , Gouden Boekenuil ) and translated into Danish and German.

In 2016 her second book was published, the essay volume De herontdekking van het lichaam (German: “The rediscovery of the body”).

In 2018, her second novel, Drift , was published, which was nominated for the shortlist of the important libris Literatuur Prijs and will also appear in German soon.
