Brian Thornton (born April 22, 1985 in San Clemente, California ) is an American volleyball player .
Career
Thornton first played in his home country for the Balboa Bay Club and on the team at the University of California, Irvine . In 2007 he won bronze at the Universiade with the US Juniors . Two years later, the setter made his senior national team debut . In the 2010/11 season he played volleyball for the French second division team Chaumont . In 2011 he won the NORCECA championship with the US team . He was then committed by the Polish first division club Jastrzębski Węgiel . In 2012 Thornton was in the squad for the Olympic Games in London .
