The Landskronsiedlung (also Landeskronsiedlung ) is a residential area in the Görlitz district of Rauschwalde . It extends on both sides of Christian-Heuck-Straße, which forms the central axis of the residential area and from which the streets branch off. The street is already included in the city map from 1928 under the name Heinrich-Heine-Straße. The street was oriented towards Görlitz's local mountain - the Landeskrone . The Grenzweg in the east and the Elsternweg in the north delimit the settlement. The Grenzweg also forms the district boundary to neighboring Biesnitz . The residential area is delimited by fields to the west and south. The nelkenweg and the Carolusweg connect the Landskronsiedlung with the district of Schlauroth . However, both routes are only for pedestrians and cyclists.

In 1925 Rauschwalde was incorporated into Görlitz. Seven years later the Landskronsiedlung was built south of the Carolus Hospital. The settlement was built primarily for the unemployed and was originally planned for 100 houses with around 500 residents. The houses were given a spacious garden, which the residents should use for self-sufficiency. The single-storey single and semi-detached houses were built in simple timber frame construction. The half-timbered construction was filled with straw and clay. In addition to the management of the gardens, the usage conditions also provided for the keeping of small animals in the stables provided for this purpose. Furthermore, the residents of the settlement were given leased land east of this area .

Another 64 houses followed between 1933 and 1934. The developer was the National Socialist Silesian Settlement Society , which then leased the land at low interest rates. The settlement now extended between today's Gladiolen and Asternweg. The once leased grave land east of the settlement up to the Grenzweg was reserved for agricultural use until the 1950s. Only then was it built like the other surrounding areas.

The former typical buildings of the settlement have now largely been remodeled. In the course of the decades, further houses were built on open spaces in the respective contemporary taste. The uniform appearance of the settlement is therefore no longer preserved. Only the basic structure of the settlement still corresponds to the planning.

On Christian-Heuck-Straße there is a bus turning loop at the junction of the Nelkenweg. The turning circle is the final stop of the city bus line A . The buses run from here every 20 or 40 minutes via Rauschwalde to the city center and on to Klingewalde .
