With brick and mortar (abbreviation B & M ; . English : brick and mortar ) are designated especially in American companies where customer contact is not the Internet , but in business and sales rooms takes place - such as the stationary (individual) trade. The term refers to these real business premises, which do not necessarily have to be made of bricks and mortar. It is used as a contrast to companies that are only present on the Internet, such as online shops .
