Bridgend Railway
The Bridgend Railway was a railway company in South Wales .
The company received on June 19, 1828 the concession to build a 7.24 kilometer long railway line from Cefn Cribbwr to Bridgend . In Cefn Cribbwr there was a connection to the route of the Dyffryn Llynfi and Porthcawl Railway . The 1,397 meter (4 feet, 7 inch) track was opened on February 22, 1830. It cost £ 6,000 to make. Since the line only incurred losses, it was closed again and in 1854 the remaining infrastructure was sold to the Llynvi Valley Railway for £ 3,000 .
