Brig o 'Turk
Brig o 'Turk ( Gaelic : Ceann Drochaid [" the stream at the top of the hill "]) is a small municipality in Stirling, Scotland . Its name is derived from the Gaelic torc ( boar ).
Brig o 'Turk is located between Callander and Aberfoyle and thus in the center of the Trossachs range of hills .
General
Brig o 'Turk has a rare wooden tea room from the 1930s that was featured in the film The 39 Steps (1959) . Brig o 'Turk also has a ballroom that hosts many craft fairs, dance evenings and other events. A small elementary school (Trossachs Primary) which has served the village and the surrounding regions since 1875, a small post office (in a private house) and a pub-restaurant are the other important buildings in the village.
