St. Bridget's in Brigham

Brigham is a place with 1065 inhabitants (2001) in the Lake District in Cumbria in north-west England. The church of St. Bridget's goes back to the time of the Normans. St. Bridget's was also the parish church of Eaglesfield , the home of Christian Fletcher, known from the mutiny on the Bounty . The Fletchers family is buried in the church cemetery. The place had a train station from 1847 to 1966 .
