Brigitte Brockmöller

Brigitte Brockmöller (* 1953 in Schnega ) is a German SPD politician and a former member of the Hamburg Parliament.

Life and politics

Brigitte Brockmöller studied economics and social sciences at the University of Göttingen after graduating from high school in 1972, which she passed at a grammar school for modern languages . She finished her studies in 1978 with a degree in social economics. She works as a research assistant at the (now renamed) Authority for Labor, Health and Social Affairs.

From 1990 to 1997 she was chairwoman of the SPD district of Stellingen. She was a member of the Hamburg Parliament from 1997 to 2001 ( 16th electoral period ) for the SPD. Brockmöller moved into parliament via the state list. During this time she was a member of the economic and urban development committee for her group.

From 1997 to 2010 she was a member of the commission for land planning of the city of Hamburg as a representative elected by the city council. There she last acted as spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group in the commission.
