Britannia (magazine)

Britannia is a historical journal published by the English Society for the Promotion of Roman Studies since 1970. The Society also oversees The Journal of Roman Studies .

The essays and reviews appearing in the journal Britannia deal predominantly with the history and archeology of Roman Britain . Britannia has become the most important publication in the field over time. The magazine is published annually in November, the current editor is Barry C. Burnham. The monographs published as part of Britannia are supervised by Paul T. Bidwell. (As of March 22, 2015.)
