British Racing Green ( British racing green ) refers to the decade-long common green paintwork of racing cars, which was used by British teams. A Bugatti contested a race for the first time at the British Racing Green . The Bugatti Type 35 C owned by the Briton William Grover-Williams at the 1929 Monaco Grand Prix was painted in this dark green.

The final green color choice of the British probably goes back to a race car from Napier & Son on the "green island" of Ireland .

The red Italian counterpart is the Rosso Corsa , which is often only associated with Ferrari. France, especially Bugatti , used light blue, German racing cars were white until 1934, then also silver ( silver arrow ).

Although light tones were also used, today in the vehicle paint sector it is usually understood to be a dark green paint. The new Mini from BMW is available in British Racing Green.
