Broadstone Castle (also Braidstone Castle ) is an abandoned castle in Barrmill in the Scottish administrative division of North Ayrshire .

Broadstone Farm, formerly called Hillhead .

The 15th-century castle ruins remained until about 1850, but when the Broadstonehall Farm buildings were rebuilt, the castle ruins were demolished and its building blocks used in construction. The Broadstone Crags , where the castle once stood, have been preserved despite the quarry work. An avenue and traces of a garden also survived until the farm was built. Your location was identified by Mr. W. Kerr of Broadstonehall in 1855.
